The Meriden Soup Kitchen is a nonprofit, totally volunteer-run organization (no paid directors or cooks) operating since 1983 to provide a complete midday meal, located at the First Baptist Church on Broad Street in Meriden to serve the less fortunate in the area. We serve a full meal every Monday-Friday throughout the year, often the only meal that the clients receive each day, and the number of meals continues to increase.
Meals consist of an entr6e with sides, salad, hot soup, bread and butter, hot and cold beverages, and desserts. ln addition, bakery items are available for clients to take with them following the meal.

In todays uncertain economy, this untimely passing has stressed the family's financial situation.
On September 17, 2011 an event was held to raise money for Kim and her boys, #3,403 was raised. The Trail has chosen to match that amount with an additional donation of $3,403.

Project Graduation is committed to keeping Wallingford's high school seniors safe and substance free on graduation night. By offering a chaperoned event that appeals to young adults, we attempt to prevent the possibility of reckless choices at a time when excitement can cloud judgement. The goal is to offer a safe environment to have a great time with friends that will likely be going separate ways in the not to distant future. By providing this event, we hope to protect our kids and allow them to move forward to the next step in their young lives.
